This Valentine’s Day, celebrate with your loved ones — and Yarm Distillery! Our team have collected some delicious cocktail recipes to ensure that you can toast to your important relationships with a smile. Read on to find your new showstopper!
Passionfruit Martini
This one is a classic for a reason. Offering a vibrant orange colour and a uniquely sweet and sour flavour, the Passionfruit Martini is the idea setting for our Yarm Vanilla Vodka to shine.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice.
- Scoop out the insides of one passionfruit, and add it to the shaker.
- Pour over 10ml of vanilla syrup, 50ml of Yarm Vanilla Vodka, 15ml passionfruit liqueur, and 15ml lime juice.
- Shake vigorously.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a slice of fresh passionfruit. Cheers!
Yarm 75
Look no further for a fun, citrus twist on the traditional French 75 cocktail. You can use your favourite Yarm Distillery fruit gin for this cocktail, but we recommend Sicilian Lemon.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice.
- Add 10ml of sugar syrup, 30ml of Yarm Sicilian Lemon Gin, and 15ml lemon juice to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled glass.
- Top up your glass with champagne, to taste, and stir gently.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon. Enjoy!
White Russian (Visiting Yorkshire)
Smooth and punchy, this cocktail is always delicious — and for Valentine’s Day, we’re giving it a local twist.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice.
- Pour 35ml of Yarm Vodka and 15ml of Yarm Coffee Rum Liqueur over the ice.
- Shake well.
- Fill a glass with plenty of ice, and then strain the mixture over it.
- Float 25ml of double cream on top of the drink (bonus points for supporting your local farm or dairy). You can float the cream by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon to avoid mixing the layers together.
- Garnish with a dusting of cinnamon. Cheers!
