At Yarm Distillery, we have been producing the highest quality artisanal alcohols since 2018 — read on to find out more about who we are, our values, and our delicious range of products.
- Yarm Distillery was established in 2018. We are an independent and family-run company, headed by Sam Marsden (our Company Director) and Richard Marsden (our Master Distiller). Sam and Richard both had a decade of experience in the drinks industry before they decided to create Yarm Distillery!
- Your newly purchased tipples can be delivered direct to your door at the cost of just £5 per bottle. Purchases made throughout the UK can be expected for delivery within 7 days.
- We produced the North East’s first single malt English whisky, which legally came of age on 28th June 2023. Matured in American oak ex-Bourbon casks, the debut release of Yarm Whisky featured 342 bottles at 41.3% ABV. Watch this space for future releases…
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, we converted our usual operations here at Yarm Distillery and started producing hand sanitizer to protect our community. Made to the World Health Organisation approved recipe, our liquid-based sanitiser kills 99.9% of viruses and germs. We also donated bottles to various Teesside charities during the pandemic to help support their vital work.
- We have two four-legged members of the Yarm Distillery team — our black labradors, Max and Finn. Whilst they might not be able to sample our products, they are always keen to provide cuddles and assess the best napping spots around the office!
- All seven varieties of Yarm Gin are hand-crafted by us — each bottle represents small batches, copper stills, and expert attention to detail.
- Yarm Distillery moved into our new site in January 2020. The move gave us plenty of space to house the distillery itself, and also accommodates our shop, gin school, and host tasting events.
- Every year, we support Teesside Hospice by volunteering as part of their TreeCycle scheme. Collecting over 2500 Christmas trees every year, the scheme raises crucial funds for Teesside Hospice by welcoming donations in exchange for collecting and recycling Christmas trees after the festive period.
- We love meeting new people — you can find Richard manning our Yarm Distillery booth at the Great Yorkshire Show each year, handing out tasters and offering expert advice on flavour pairings. Existing customers are always welcome to pop by for a taste and a chat too, of course!
- You can look through the entire range of Yarm Rum, Gin, Vodka, Whisky and Liqueurs on the Yarm Distillery website. Your purchases will be shipped directly to your door, allowing you to enjoy the taste of artisanal Yorkshire craftsmanship wherever you might be. Cheers to that!
